It’s no secret that most women love make-up and can browse the cosmetics section of their local store for hours. We are often found struggling over which product to pick to get that flawless, glowing skin. It can be a task to pick the right blend of foundations, concealers, mineral powder and primers when there are so many available. There are also the lesser coverage options to consider with an abundance of CC and BB creams, or tinted moisturisers on the market. Let us have a look at some of the high street vs. high end make up brands available in the store with something to suit everyone’s price range.

Rimmel
My all time favourite, and an inexpensive makeup brand that I can always rely on. The latest product to create buzz is the Match perfect foundation. This promises to give maximum and undetectable coverage and is priced at £6.99. You won’t regret adding this to your make up collection, you’ll notice the results under any kind of light and your skin will stay protected daily with SPF 18 at the same time.

Revlon
Color Stay with SoftFlex is the first choice for many ladies. It is an amazing product that gives a lightweight comfort that makes you feel like you are not wearing makeup at all. My friend used it and got it just for £12.49 from Boots last month and she is pretty happy with it. There is another product called the PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup, at a price almost same as Color Stay, this one is for those who are looking for evening makeup solution. Get photo ready with one pump giving you a light weight, air– infused foam mousse that blends onto your skin and leaves you glowing for that perfect evening date. This is one is at an amazing price of £12.29.

L’Oreal
Ladies, you are worth it. L’Oreal is a brand for those who have an inclination towards the high end products but want prices still under control and not compromising on quality. L’Oreal offers a product called Infallible Foundation. It gives a good cover for 16 hours minimum, well would be good enough if it lasts for 9 hours also. This is a make-up which fights the make-up melt down. For ladies working long hours, this is the best all day long option. You’ll find it for £12.29 only.

MaX-Factor
This brand has a range of products that actually give maximum-factor, giving maximum effect to your skin. It’s leading foundation – Face Finiti All Day Flawless, simply pampers your face with its 3-in-1 property for the whole day. It works perfectly as a primer, foundation and a concealer. You can pick this up for around £11.99 in most stores. MaX-Factor often have offers on so you may even be able to get it for less. This is an awesome product that can be worn at day time as it gives seamless cover on your face.

Maybelline
Maybelline Superstay 24-hour Foundation is a product which does what it says. Buy three for the price of two and if have to buy one get it for 9.19 at Boots. The Fit Me foundations of Maybelline are slightly cheaper at the rate of just £7.99 at Superdrug, we can’t verify how long these offers will last so better get down their quick if this sounds like the one for you.

Mac
Mac is a high end brand trusted by many celebrity make up artists, who even use it personally as well. Their Studio Fix foundation comes at a price of £21.51. Mac has one of the widest range of shades, to suit and match exactly with your skin tone.

Clarins
Skin Illusion from Clarins is very light and for incredibly natural looking skin comes at price of £26. This one is again a hydrating foundation, which gives “barely there” finish that enhances the complexion smoothly, a buy worth the pounds spent.

Chanel
Oh what luxury, you’ll feel it when you have this on your face! Vitalumiére Aqua, the ultra light skin perfecting makeup with SPF 15 by Chanel will give you a unique makeup result. With an incomparable “second skin”, soft and evanescent ultra-fine fluid texture, this winning foundation has earned its high end price tag of £31. It is light and delicate to give a fresh, even and energized skin, whilst providing the ultimate in light and natural looking coverage.

Estee Lauder
The Invisible Fluid foundation was featured as the best Foundation of 2012 by Elle Magazine. It gives a true life finish to the skin. You see no makeup and feel no make-up, justifying the name it bears; it is ultra light and ultra oil free. Coming at a price of £28 this is one is air infused with every shake. This foundation also controls oil excess of oil and won’t clog.

Yves Saint Laurent
YSL Touché Eclat Foundation, from the real sense of high end fashion makers comes this extravagant piece of makeup that derives out the real beautiful lady in you. This gives you full coverage. It is gives you really glowing and dewy but natural look that can be worn every day. It has the Typical YSL fragrance like a cucumber scent. You will get it for £29 at Boots. This has an impressive range of 22 shades; I bought beige rose shade for myself.
It is very important that if you are applying foundation for day long protection and coverage, then you must first choose a nice primer so as it hold your makeup.

For that extra flawless look and to correct dry or wrinkled skin, you can always give your skin that extra ‘thirst quenching’ aspect with a good quality anti-wrinkle cream. A good moisturiser will always create the most natural looking base for your foundation, making it easier to blend and giving a more even finish.

NB – All prices mentioned are approximate based on visiting several drugstores and make up outlets. They are all subject to change and offers may or may not be valid at the time of purchase.
